Welder needed for heavy industrial manufacturing company. This is positioned in the beautiful Waikato region, with the Bay of Plenty, Taupo, Rotorua and even Auckland within 2-3 hours drive.
Job Description:
Ability to weld precision fabrications to exact standards. Able to operate 5 tonne overhead crane in a safe manner, to move fabricated parts on and off machinery. Able to read and interpret drawings, work within stated tolerances and time constraints. Adaptable, with a willingness to learn new skills.
Essential
> MIG welding of heavy steel fabrications - up to 50mm
> Weld both horizontal and vertical plane geometry
> Understand weld spec. symbols and size of fillet forms
> Work to close tolerances and within time constraints
> Develop and detail welding procedures for new components
> Maintain and clean machine, tools and equipment to optimal production standard
> Be physically fit to perform assigned tasks and duties
Minimum Qualifications:
> Trade Qualified - documentation required
> 3 years trade experience in production/job shop environment- excluding training
> Certification in Welding e.g. ASME IX, NZ 7411, BSEN 287
> Demonstrate effective verbal and written command of English
> Numerical literacy to perform duties accurately and effectively
